The CrossFit program is the main focus of the classes and covers all aspects of strength and conditioning providing a varied and challenging workout every session. CrossFit is described as constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity with the stated goal of improving fitness, which is defined as “work capacity across broad time and modal domains”. By having a constantly varied program we challenge and improve our members general physical preparedness (GPP) and their ability to tackle any physical challenge.

The daily crossfit classes are an hour long and will usually consist of a warm up and stretching phase, a skill session and the daily Workout of the Day (WOD). The WODs are typically short – 20 minutes or less – and intense, demanding all-out physical exertion. They combine movements such as running, sprinting, rowing, skipping, jumping, climbing rope, weightlifting, and carrying objects; they use barbells, kettlebells, gymnastics rings, pull-up bars, medicine balls, and many bodyweight exercises. These elements are mixed in numerous combinations to form WODs.
