Kirsty Gallagher

Kirsty Gallagher

Biography:

Kirsty has been a member of CrossFit Fife since 2017. Fitness is by far her biggest passion and having worked in main stream gyms and leisure centres for years as a fitness instructor she joined CrossFit Fife as a place to be her! – not a PT, not an instructor, not a coach (how that changed!!). She needed somewhere and someone who would push her, coach her and help her progress in her own fitness goals. CFF was that place. She instantly enjoyed the community feel, the variety of movements and how supportive the whole gym was.

For many people it surprises them when they discover that Kirsty used to skive P.E at high school, instead she would take herself off to the library and geek up on literature. Anyone who knows her now would associate her with fitness. She loves being outdoors, biking, hiking, running and in her own words is like a crazy caged animal if inside too long. Kirsty is truly fascinated by the human body, how it’s built to move, bend, twist, carry, lift and so much more. And that is why she coaches – to help others. There’s nothing more satisfying for Kirsty than to watch, support and guide someone that wants to improve their physical and mental health. She understands it’s not easy, but knows that movement truly is medicine for the body.

Kirsty is a great asset to the coaching team and brings an array of skills and knowledge. She has worked in the fitness industry for over 10 years and would specialise in working with people with long-term health conditions – from Mental Health, diabetes, cancer, MS, obesity, to back pain, or recovering from joint replacement surgery. She has a huge amount of experience working with a range of clients either 1 to 1 or in groups – and a wealth of understanding and qualifications from Level 2, 3, and 4 within the fitness world.
