Coach & Crossfit Fife Owner
Coach Raymond McAloon, one of the owners of CrossFit Fife, was also one of the original founders of CrossFit Fife. He is a CrossFit coach level 1, Kettlebells instructor, Crossfit Olympic lifting coach and a CrossFit Powerlifting coach. Raymond's passion was originally in martial arts, he has over 20 years experience in that field and a black belt in Ju jitsu. He was looking for ways to increase his fitness levels for martial arts competitions when he discovered and fell in love with CrossFit. He converted his garage into a gym to train in and found that there were more and more people wanting to train with him and so he decided to open up one of the UKs first CrossFit affiliates.
Raymond is very passionate about helping others perform to their highest standard and is driven and dedicated to his members and his own progression. From a young age he always wanted to push himself and that’s when he started competing. He achieved 2nd place in the East Scotland bodybuilding under 21s juniors and also 3rd in the Mr Scotland bodybuilding under 21s juniors. This experience at a young age clearly helped for when he became a CrossFit competitor. His achievements include winning the Central Manchester Games Master 2009 and 2010 and winning the London Throwdown Masters 2012. He also achieved 1st place at Masters at War 2013, 49th place CrossFit Games Open World 2014 Masters, 2nd place at Masters 45-49 European region CrossFit Games Open 2014 and 6th place Masters 45-49 European region CrossFit Games Open 2015.
Coach & Crossfit Fife Owner
Coach Brenda Dougan is known as B around the box and coaches kettlebell classes as well as the CrossFit. B initially found kettlebells before CrossFit and then moved to CrossFit alongside kettlebells. When Brenda started to train with the 6am crew in 2010 that is when she really got hooked.
As one of the owners of CrossFit Fife and CrossFit Coach level 1 ‘B’ has accomplished so much including 5th place at the Masters at War 2016 (mixed pairs) and 1st place at Form Fitness masters 2016 (same sex pairs). She refers to herself as an “old” master who can still kick butt with many of the younger members in the class. Brenda loves the banter around the box, the friendships that CFF has given her and the greater community of CrossFit. Her passions are simple - to see individuals grow, move correctly, get stronger and feel good about themselves. Her favourite saying when explaining CrossFit to people is quite simply, CrossFit is Fitness for all.
